If you’ve never visited Wayfair.com do it now! Well…read on and THEN RUSH OVER. When they say, ‘ a zillion things home’ they aren’t kidding.
I was thrilled to be contacted by Wayfair to participate in the DIY Blogger Challenge. The challenge had us take one of their products and transform it any way we wanted. We also received a gift card from Giftcards.com to cover the cost of supplies.
This is the coffee table we chose out of 3 different items.
And here it is all unpacked and ready to go.
We didn’t actually assemble the table because it was going to need some modifications in the construction. We started with building a square frame with some spare wood.
With the supplied dowels in place, the middle shelf was then attached to the frame.
The center divider and bottom shelf were attached.
And then the legs. You’ll notice that the legs were cut so that they didn’t extend past the bottom shelf.
We’ll be adding these later
Because we added to this table, the entire thing needed to be painted. Krylon Khaki was used on everything.
Just to finish it all off nicely, we added some trim to the legs and the box.
Now paint it all up.
At this point we could put the painted top on, but that’s not how we roll over here.
So, on goes a piano hinge and a padded top.
After sliding in the canvas storage boxes, it’s done.
A little extra storage is never a bad thing.
Thank you Wayfair for the opportunity to transform this coffee table into something that we’ll most certainly enjoy.
